TİM President İsmail GÜLLE, in his speech at the award ceremony, stated that new developments in the economy on a local and global scale make export the most critical field of activity and that this imposes a great responsibility on exporters. Cement, Glass, Ceramics and Soil Products Exporters' Association has been carrying out support activities and foreign promotional activities to increase the exports of our member companies since 1989 when it was founded. Our Union's total exports in 2018 increased by 12% on value basis compared to the previous year and amounted to 3.2 billion dollars, and Turkey's cement, glass and ceramic industries ranked first in the world in production and export. In his speech at the Award Ceremony, Chairman of the Board, Erdem Çenesiz, emphasized that the industry produces added value non-stop and said, “The common feature of the cement, ceramics and glass industries is to turn natural raw material resources into value-added products. We process the country's stone and soil, make products and export, and while doing this, we meet the country's high employment needs. In addition, these three sectors are sectors that make a significant contribution to closing the current account deficit and produce with less import input. We aim to create an export increase of 14% in 2019”.
