The Cement Industry Meeting Concluded with Strong Participation

The Cement Industry Meeting, organized by Turkish Cement, was held at TİM on Tuesday, June 9.

The meeting was attended by Chairman Ender Şahin, Board Members Barış Karahüseyin and Mete Turan, as well as 28 industry representatives from 15 companies.

During the meeting, participants discussed the current state of the cement industry, developments in global markets, changes in export markets, and the sector’s priority agenda items for the upcoming period.

As part of the program, teams from S&P Global Platts and ICE delivered special presentations. The presentations assessed the impact of developments in global energy, commodity, and financial markets on the cement industry, while participants exchanged views on current market dynamics with industry representatives.

The meeting also featured evaluations on the Turkish cement industry’s export vision, global competitiveness, sustainable growth targets, and efforts to strengthen its position in international markets.

Turkish Cement will continue its efforts to support the development of the sector through a culture of common mind and consultation, strengthen communication among its members, and enhance the competitiveness of the Turkish cement industry in global markets.
