CEMENT INDUSTRY MEETING BRİNGİNG CEMENT INDUSTRY REPRESENTATİVES TOGETHER

This year's first meeting of the "Cement Sector Meeting", which brings together the cement sector representatives and is held regularly every year, was held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the Istanbul TIM Foreign Trade Complex. The meeting was held with the participation of 35 people consisting of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors Kerim ERBEN, Board Members Feyyaz ÜNAL and Mustan KORUK, Competition Authority, Turkish Cement Manufacturers' Association and sector representatives.

In the presentations made by Kerim ERBEN, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cement, Glass, Ceramics and Soil Products Exporters' Association, the statistics and evaluation of the exports of Turkey's cement industry for the period January-December 2017 compared to 2016 and the latest situation in the world cement market were shared. In addition, “Developments in the Economy and Cement Sector and 2018 Expectations” were explained by the economic consultant of our Association, Can Fuat GÜRLESEL. In addition, the current problems of the sector and solution proposals were consulted interactively with the participants.

The meetings, which are considered to be very productive for our industry, will continue.
