Turkish Cement Highlights Its Strategic Presence in the African Market in Accra

Intercem Africa, one of the most deep-rooted and strategic gatherings of the cement sector on the African continent, was held in Accra, the capital of Ghana, on June 15–17, with the participation of Chairman Ender Şahin, and Board Member, S. Mete Turan. Participating in the event with the "Turkish Cement" brand, our Association once again carried the global power, superior quality standards, and sustainable production vision of the Turkish cement sector to the international arena.

Bringing together industry professionals, manufacturers, and logistics representatives from all over the world, Intercem Africa 2026 hosted intense trade traffic and strategic sessions for three days. The conference, held in Accra—the hub of Africa’s developing construction projects and expanding infrastructure networks—opened new doors of cooperation for Turkish cement in the region.

During the organization, the Commercial Counsellor of Accra, Mr. Talha Tol, visited our booth and honored us with his presence. During the visit, strategic evaluations were made to increase the market share of Turkish cement in the region, and highly productive exchanges were held regarding regional commercial opportunities, market dynamics, and our export potential.
