Turkish Cement Strengthens Its Presence in the Asia-Pacific Market
Intercem Asia, the most prestigious gathering of the cement industry in the Asia-Pacific region, was held this year from April 14–16 in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, with the participation of our Vice Chairman of the Board, Ender Şahin. Participating in the organization with a "Turkish Cement" branded stand, our Association once again showcased the global strength and sustainable production vision of the Turkish cement industry on the international stage.
Bringing together industry professionals, manufacturers, and technology providers from around the world, Intercem Asia 2026 hosted intense trade activity and strategic sessions over three days. Held in Jakarta—the heart of Southeast Asia's rising construction projects and logistics networks—the conference opened doors to new collaboration opportunities for Turkish cement.
As part of the organization, our Commercial Counsellors in Jakarta, Emrah Ersoy and Esra Eruysal Uygur, honored our stand with their visit. During the visit, strategic evaluations were made regarding increasing the market share of Turkish cement in Indonesia and neighboring countries, and views were exchanged on regional investment opportunities and trade barriers.
Throughout the panels held during the conference, key topics such as carbon emission reduction, digital cement plants, and supply chain dynamics in the Asian market were discussed. Our Association representatives met with major market players throughout the event, engaging in consultations to reinforce Turkey's role as a reliable supply partner, particularly in line with the region's new capital city projects and developing infrastructure needs.
